Give acupuncture a try.

As an acupuncturist the first question people often ask me is, “What is acupuncture good for?” My immediate response is, “Everything!”
Then I ask them, “What have you got?” Over and over again people tell me they’ve been suffering from chronic conditions. Digestive problems, headaches, insomnia, fatigue, joint pain, high cholesterol, cardiac abnormalities, hot flashes…the list goes on and on. Along with the physical symptoms come anxiety, frustration, and depression. They have had blood tests, scopes, CT scans, EKGs, and MRIs. In the end, their doctors could not find anything wrong and sent them home with pain pills or other symptom suppressing drugs. Other people get a diagnosis and pills that might help one problem but cause another. By the time they come for acupuncture, they are desperate for relief.
Thankfully, Oriental Medicine can help. Acupuncture works by balancing your body’s natural processes. As normal function is restored, your symptoms are relieved.
As your body becomes more balanced, everything gets better. A man who first came to me for back pain said, “I’m sleeping better, I don’t crave sugar as much and I feel more relaxed.” His experience is pretty typical.
Unlike Western medicine that looks at the body as separate, isolated systems that are diseased or malfunctioning, Oriental Medicine looks at how everything is related and interconnected. OM looks at the whole body/mind/spirit that makes each person unique. If two people suffering from chronic headaches come to see me, they will each get their own unique, individualized treatment. I don’t have a one-size-fits-all treatment for headaches, or reflux, or anxiety. Every patient gets treated according to his or her individual needs.
Whether you’ve had a problem for years or just a few days, Oriental Medicine can help. It is a time-tested natural medicine that enhances your body’s own ability to heal. If that sounds like a good thing to you, call for an appointment today.
